Serving Hollywood, Broward County
Concrete Driveway Hollywood FL
Hollywood has some of the most characterful residential neighborhoods in Broward County — Hollywood Lakes, Hollywood Hills, Lakes area streets lined with mature trees and homes with real architectural personality. Driveways here have to respect that context. We handle residential concrete driveways only: installation, replacement, widening, aprons, removal and repour, and repair.
The practical challenges in Hollywood are older infrastructure, narrower lots in the historic grid, a high water table in the Lakes area, and driveways that in many cases have been in the ground since mid-century.

What we build for Hollywood homeowners
New Concrete Driveway Installation
Full residential driveway builds from layout and forming through base prep, reinforcement, pour, and finishing — sized to your home, your parking needs, and your yard's drainage.
Driveway Replacement
Cracked, sunken, or patched-over driveways removed and rebuilt properly. We correct the base, not just the surface, so the new slab has something solid to sit on.
Driveway Widening & Extensions
Extra width for a second or third vehicle, wider turning room near the garage, or a new parking pad on the side of the house — matched to the existing slab as closely as possible.
Concrete Aprons & Entry Sections
The apron where your driveway meets the street takes the hardest use. We rebuild aprons and entry sections with proper thickness and clean transitions.
Driveway Removal & Repour
Demolition, haul-away, regrade, and a fresh pour. Old asphalt, tired pavers, or failing concrete cleared out and replaced in one organized project.
Residential Driveway Repair & Surface Restoration
Section replacement, joint work, spalling and surface repair, or resurfacing when the slab underneath is still sound and worth keeping.
Older neighborhoods, narrow lots, and access planning
Much of eastern Hollywood was platted long before modern vehicles, and driveways reflect it — narrow, short, and often with a tight street entry. Replacement is the opportunity to widen modestly, square up the entry, or add a flare near the garage so backing out doesn't require a three-point turn. Small layout changes make a disproportionate difference on a tight lot.
Access shapes the schedule and the price. Where a mixer truck can't reach the pour directly, we plan wheelbarrow runs or a pump and say so in the written scope. On narrow streets we stage equipment to keep traffic moving and protect neighbors' landscaping and irrigation lines.
Hollywood Lakes, high water table, and drainage
Properties around the Lakes area and closer to the Intracoastal sit lower with the water table near the surface. That limits excavation depth and makes surface drainage the deciding factor in how a driveway ages. Water that stands on a slab stains it, and water that runs toward the garage is an expensive problem to ignore.
Before forming, we check where water travels during a heavy rain, how much fall actually exists between the garage slab and the street, and whether the swale or gutter can accept the flow. On some lots the honest answer involves a drain or a regraded shoulder rather than forcing slope that isn't available.
Aesthetics in character neighborhoods
In Hollywood Hills and the Lakes, a driveway that looks like a slab of parking lot works against the house. Saw-cut joint patterns, a light integral color, fine broom texture, and clean edge detail cost little and read as considered design. For Mediterranean and mid-century homes, stamped borders with a textured field can echo the architecture without the maintenance load of a full paver installation.
Mature canopy means leaf litter and organic staining, so we generally steer homeowners away from heavily polished finishes here — a lightly textured surface stays looking better with less effort.

Questions
Hollywood driveway questions
Can you widen a narrow driveway in an older Hollywood neighborhood?
Usually, within setback and right-of-way limits. We measure what's available, confirm any municipal requirements, and lay the new footprint out on the ground so you can see it before concrete is ordered. Even a few feet of added width transforms daily use on a tight lot.
What can be done if water runs toward my garage?
Correcting it properly means removing the slab, regrading, and repouring with the right pitch away from the house. Surface grinding does not create slope. Where fall is limited, we discuss a drain or a regraded shoulder as part of the plan.
Will a new driveway suit my older home's style?
Concrete is more flexible than most people assume. Joint patterns, light integral color, edge detailing, and optional stamped borders let a new driveway complement Mediterranean, mid-century, and traditional Hollywood homes rather than fighting them.
